Rise and Fall of the American Empire

I remember being told about the rise and fall of the Roman Empire.  I remember being told that it fell “from within”.  At the time, I didn’t know what that meant.

History documents the rise of the American Empire.  The Founding Fathers’ belief in freedom from “absolute Despotism”.  Their belief that “all men” are “endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights”.  Their belief in the pursuit of “a more perfect Union”.  All made more perfect by the Reconstruction Amendments, the Nineteenth Amendment, the Civil Rights Act, the Voting Rights Act, and Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

History documents the fall of the American Empire.  The fall is not complete, but it is real, and it is from within.  Even the President and his Attorney General say so.

On October 4, 2021, Attorney General Merrick Garland issued a Memorandum: “I am directing the Federal Bureau of Investigation, working with each United States Attorney, to convene meetings with federal, state, local, Tribal, and territorial leaders in each federal judicial district within 30 days of the issuance of this memorandum.  These meetings will facilitate the discussion of strategies for addressing threats against school administrators, board members, teachers, and staff, and will open dedicated lines of communication for threat reporting, assessment, and response.”

On January 11, 2022, before the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary, Assistant Attorney General Matthew Olsen testified: “investigating and prosecuting domestic violent extremists is among our highest priorities.”

58,000 lives sacrificed on the myth of Vietnam, and thousands more on the myth of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.  Half-a-trillion-dollar annual trade deficit with China, and jobs shipped to China.  Chinese spies working for the Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, and for a member of the House Intelligence Committee.  Elimination of the southern border, and non-enforcement of immigration statutes.  100,000 opioid deaths annually, ignored.  Voluntarily ceding Seattle’s central area to armed insurrectionists, naming the ceded territory CHAZ and CHOP.  The Speaker of the House of Representatives shredding the nation’s State of the Union Address on television for the entire world to see, as she sat behind the back of the President of the United States of America while he delivered the constitutionally-required State of the Union Address to We the People.  Leaders of the majority Party mocking half the nation as “deplorables” and people who “cling to religion”.  Inner cities with failed schools and rampant crime.  An atheist as head chaplain at Harvard University.  Children being taught to judge people by the color of their skin.

Americans work all day every day to erase the Founding Fathers and the nation they founded.  If Americans succeed, the fall will be complete, and it will be from within.
