July 4th. Happy Independence Day. Thank you to our Founding Fathers.
May We the People have the wisdom and courage to continue on our path to a more perfect union, to ask not what our country can do for us but what we can do for our country, to judge each other by the content of our character.
May we seek unity by remembering all those who gave their lives for our freedom from foreign oppression and our freedom from oppression from within.
May we teach our children that we shall overcome, if we remain one nation under God.
May we celebrate the falling barriers of unequal opportunity, Black President, Black and Hispanic and female Supreme Court Justices, Black and Hispanic and female Cabinet members, Black female Vice President, female Speaker of the House, Muslim and Black and female Members of Congress, Black male and Black female Secretaries of State, Black Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Black female National Security Advisor, Black female ambassador to the United Nations, Black female head of the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice, Black and female billionaires and CEOs, Black and female moguls in media and sports and entertainment, non-White majority in the Ivy League.
May we humbly remember our charity throughout the world, when natural disasters strike.
May we remember the foundations of America that brought us to what we already have achieved, that can bring us to even more achievements if we allow.
May this be a day of remembering and giving thanks, as well as a day of picnics and barbecues.
May God bless America.
